But as you can imagine my friends at this point, since alpargatas where only made in black or white, they lacked a certain zest. 

So, that got three Argentine friends thinking: why not make alpargatas with a twist, using fun colors and patterns? And that´s what they did... they created PAEZ. 

In 2007 they started making PAEZ and, with the help of some other friends, bought their own facilities in San Martin, a suburb of Buenos Aires. In the last three years, PAEZ Shoes have spread from Argentina and now are sold on five continents. Impressive!

PAEZ shoes are produced under strict no-sweatshop standards, ensuring fair labor practices and minimal environmental impact. Unlike some of our competitors, PAEZ has fought the trend to move manufacturing overseas. 

We continue to make alpargatas where they began- in Argentina, and that´s what make them so unique and cool. And who better to make an authentic Argentine casual shoe than the Argentine people who love them so much?
